Purpose of the applications
These applications exist to automate the day-to-day tasks of their single operator on his own equipment and with his own accounts. Nothing about them is offered, sold or licensed to anybody else.
n8n — personal workflow automation
n8n is the automation engine behind this site's private workflows. Its operator uses it to connect services he already has an account on and to run scheduled or event-driven tasks, for example:
- reading his own calendars and mailboxes to trigger reminders and summaries;
- collecting readings from home sensors and devices into his own dashboards;
- sending notifications to his own devices and chat accounts;
- keeping personal documents and spreadsheets in sync between the services he owns.
To do this, the instance authenticates against third-party APIs with credentials the operator issues to himself, such as OAuth clients he creates in the Google Cloud console. Those credentials are only ever used for his own automation.
Home Assistant — home automation
Home Assistant runs the local home automation: it talks to the lights, sensors, cameras and appliances on the operator's private network and presents them in a local dashboard. All of that traffic stays inside the home network, except when a third-party integration is explicitly enabled by the operator and needs to reach its provider.
Access to this site
This page is public and requires no account, no sign-in and no prior authorization: you can read all of it as an anonymous visitor. The applications it describes are, by contrast, private — reaching the n8n editor or the Home Assistant dashboard requires the operator's own credentials, which are not shared with anyone.

These applications are for strictly personal use. No third-party data is collected, stored or shared with any external entity.
